Color Signal
Effective date: July 27, 2026
This policy explains how Color Signal handles data when you use the iOS and iPadOS app.
The app uses the front or back camera to detect colors in real time. Camera frames are processed in memory on your device and reduced to color values for the full-screen display. Color Signal does not save camera images or videos to files and does not send camera frames to a server operated by us or to a third-party server. You can use Fixed Color mode without granting camera access.
App settings, such as language, display options, camera preferences, and color settings, are stored locally on your device. Color Signal does not require an account and does not intentionally collect your name, email address, contacts, precise location, photos, health data, or other profile information through a server operated by us.
The app uses Apple StoreKit for in-app purchases and purchase restoration. Apple processes purchase-related data under Apple's privacy policy. Color Signal reads verified purchase entitlements to remove advertising when applicable. Optional consumable tips support development and do not unlock features.
The free version of the app uses Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google User Messaging Platform. Google may collect or process identifiers such as the IDFA, device information, ad interaction data, approximate location inferred from network information, diagnostics, and other data for advertising, consent management, fraud prevention, analytics, or related purposes.
Where required, the app presents Google's consent or privacy options form. In accordance with iOS App Tracking Transparency, you can allow or deny tracking. The availability and personalization of ads may vary according to your consent choices, device settings, and region.
Settings stored by Color Signal remain on your device until you change them, reset them where an option is available, or uninstall the app. Advertising and purchase providers retain data according to their own policies. You can manage tracking permission in iOS Settings and eligible advertising privacy choices through the app when the privacy options entry is available.
The app is not directed to children. Do not use the app where collecting or processing advertising or purchase data would require parental consent that has not been obtained.
We may update this policy when the app, SDKs, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date shows the latest version date.
